About the Conference
The Texas A&M Women's Leadership Conference was founded by Kristina Campbell '08 in May 2007 to provide an annual opportunity for Aggies, both current and former students, to come together to celebrate and enhance women's leadership at Texas A&M University.
The annual Texas A&M Women's Leadership Conference will enhance the learning and empowerment of its delegates by:
* Equipping delegates with leadership theory on strengths and relational leadership as to better understand and shape their circles of influence and concern.
* Fostering discussions where women can openly discuss barriers and obstacles to their advancement at Texas A&M University and in the world and develop action plans to overcome those barriers.
* Developing a strong, supporting network of female leaders, both amongst current and former students, regardless of title, to promote emotional, intellectual and physical resource support.
* Illustrating the power of being both a competent, knowledgeable leader and a powerful, visible follower.
* Challenging the current concept of what women can do at Texas A&M University and replacing this concept with the inspiration to advance the visibility of women in leadership roles.
The 2009 Conference: "Leadership, in Heels", will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
